Pain is triggered in the nervous system. Pain can be sharp or dull, may come and go, or even remain constant. Pain can be felt in your back, abdomen or chest or all over, such as when your muscles ache from the fever.

Pain can also be helpful in some places where it acts as a sensory that helps in realizing danger and moving your body part from it so that you may avoid further pain like touching a sharp object. Pain usually resides if you take care at the right time.

Chronic pain goes on for years and months caused due to an ongoing cause, such as cancer or arthritis also cause can remain unknown.

Lifestyle has an important part in the treatment for chronic pain. Getting regular sleep at night and not taking daytime naps helps. Stopping smoking Smokers also have more pain than nonsmokers. Pain brings discomfort, low self-esteem, depression and anger interfering with your daily activities.

Acute pain doesn't last long and usually goes away as body heals.

Most pain treatments will not take away all of your pain. Instead, treatment should reduce how much pain you have and how often it occurs. Talk to your doctor to learn how to best control your pain.
